Hi Dimitar Welcome to UKGPL, you've got quite an impressive record in UKGTL (got the better of Evil Clive on numerous occasions so you are no slouch) so I'm sure you'll do well. I'd recommend the 65s and GT races, to get used to GPL. Just register via the links on the UKGPL home page. Regards Phil

Howdy UKGPL ! Some of you gents might remember me from the old GPL days, 2007 WC 40th, 2008 World Cup and all that ? Or not . Anyways, nice to see so many familiar names around here, whether from the UK (sup Iestyn !), South America, my native Gaul or elsewhere. I'm fixing to do a GPL-only season in 2021, back to the roots kinda thing. I would be very interested in running in your 1967 F1 Grand Prix series with its cool format and schedule. Cheers

Cheers Bienvenue Frank ! You are already registered for this series. We can consider you as a Works driver and you just have to choose two different cars (see rules in 1967 F1 GP topic)

Hello guys. Finally i decided to give Grand Prix Legends a go. After many years with GT Legends, now i want to drive GPL as well. I hope i can join a race in the future, but first, of course, I'll start testing to be ready.
Cheers, Dimitar.
Don't test too much Dimitar

Welcome DD. I thought that GPL had slipped under your radar and you only wanted to race "tin tops" in GTL.
Which series are you considering, or will you be trying ALL of them lol.
FWIW. The 1965 cars are generally considered to be the easiest to drive and are great fun at 100%. The 1966 cars offer a slightly bigger challenge with nimble 2ltr cars and heavier ( but faster) 3ltr cars The 1967 cars are still the hardest to get right ( ask Hristo lol ).
We also race the 1968 GP cars, the 1969 GP cars ( with wings ), the 1970 Sports/GT cars, the 1971 Can AM cars which are insanely powerful. There are also 1966 Can Ams which are slightly more civilised, but for me the 1955 cars with skinny tyres and built in brake fade present something entirely different that will screw with your mind. lol

Well, here i am! Not that fast though as with GT Legends but i am totally impressed! I drove Ferrari 1965 at Nordschleife 67 and 55 Lancia D50 at Spa-Francorchamps 67 - the beautiful one. I really loved the game already and i am ready for even more in the coming months. I totally love to feel the car, to control it with the throttle and the brake. Much more than ACC, AC, rF2 and the other modern stuff IMO. I can see why GPL has the biggest community here. Here are the hot laps: https://www.youtube....h?v=yxY5p1aVc84 https://www.youtube....h?v=tQtz3MtUKsY

Yesterday I finally get the job done at Targa Florio - I managed to finish 1 lap without a big mistake. It took me around 10 hours to do it. I can now say i know well the first sector but the other 3 were just poor adaptation, bravery, anticipation and decision making. Such a great fun. https://youtu.be/n5sAIyNJf08
