Sunday Drivers will close this season on 31 January at Hockenhiem 67.
Track can be downloaded here http://gpltd.bcsims.com/?dis=H&menu=Show_Letters (Track #14) & there is a good graphics add on here http://www.thomas-laechele.de/gpl/
Can't see that this has been used by UKLGPL - at least not recently. I managed to learn to stay on track after about 6 laps so shouldn't take too much time to learn - once you figure out how ridiculously early you have to brake for the Ost curve.
Usual Sunday drivers rules to apply; 2 x Intermediate Short races (my guess is 8 or 9 laps). Choice of chassis is the Lotus & Honda. Each driver must use both cars - but start with whichever you like. 65 Mod / Resets allowed. Qualifying will be slightly reduced to 20 mins Race 1 & 15 mins Race 2 (requested by those with early bed times).
There is Interleague on the same night but they start at 8pm. Suggest we congregate in IGOR for 9pm.
Thanks to Nicky Ickx for agreeing to host.
Hope to see you there.

Downloaded Hockenheim, threw the Laechle update on top, was amazed by the graphics, but disliked very much the asphalt.
Little bit too much fairy tale nostalgia ( of course: you can't discuss taste ) but too dark as well.
Found that Francisco Caballeros asphalt, added after Laecheles update and allow overwrite, did the job quite well.
Find it here at SRMZ: http://srmz.net/index.php?showtopic=240 " 512 x 512 Tarmac Download "
Have fun and cu on track.

Don't want to be a pain BUT. On Billy's original list of events on the normal Forum on 6th Dec 09 this Hockenheim race was listed as Lotus V BRM - not Lotus V Honda as shown above. Don't matter to me as I have now got set ups for all 3.

Is this change to Honda definite Undecided

Help! Having a problem downloading Hockenheim, well, installing it really. Have got the zipped file from the link, but when I try to extract to GPL it comes up with a blocked by windows message, and that the install.ini is incorrect. Tried all my usual methods but this is the first time I've encountered this, getting frustrated now :'( Times running short , can anyone help?

Yes Norm, you are quite right, original scheduling was Lotus v BRM. Can't remember why I changed it but we'll stick with the rice burner (Honda).

Here are the results from the Sunday Drivers event at Hockenheim.
Congratulations to the winners, Nicky and Clutch. Podium finishes for D-Rock , Dean 0,  Dean Logan and Steve Bird.
Special performance by Martin “Maddog” Hunt to claim fastest lap in Race 1 & then a DQ in Race 2.
Fastest lap all evening by Fulvio Policardi at 2 mins 01.7 using a set-up provided by Billy Nobrakes (& my best time with that set up was a dismal 2 min 06.91 secs )

In the Spec Challenge there were 10 drivers who completed more than half distance in both laps. As I suspected it might, the Lotus came out on top by an aggregate of 3 seconds.

There is a General Post up about Sunday Drivers for next season here . Please feel free to add comments here https://www.simracing.org.uk/smf/index.php?topic=7451.0

PS. Sorry about the formatting with the results – whatever I do the columns never line up – a bit like my lap times.
