Firstly a big hand to Bernie on his second successive hard
won in the Privates, bet that girl selling the ice creams is all a quiver now
. Also a big hand to team-mates Al Heller and Steve Bird for the win and podium/fastest lap respectively, both earning their Martian wings with the big boys
Anyway a new track to me plus little practice time meant the BRM for tokens and hope to survive without knocking the 'real' drivers out.
I was expecting a rear entry so was surprised by Billy's qually time as I knew he had the edge from praccy - turns out he was DQ'd for an accidental anti-clockwise tour of the track.
So the majority of my race was spent trying to keep him in check with occasional appearances from Phil. Phil was in a different race and quicker so it was a balancing act letting him through as soon as I could without giving Billy a cheeky one...
Anyway Billy made a jump eventually and we had a coming together, leaving me on my own. I was (old mistake) thinking 'what happened there' when Mike T lapped me and completely forgot what corner I was on. The acrobatics looked good but could have been fatal for Mike - luckilly it wasn't but sorry for that.
So race over but turns out I got third in the Privates (moderating allowing
) hence keeping my top spot. Albeit, with Bernie's and Mike's form, I'm not getting too relaxed.
The P/word was somewhat unguessable here if working from the 'it must be Swedish' school of thought
I like to follow themes with the passwords. This one was inspired by my sons current obsession with watching a certain BBC series - add a dollop of autism and I get exterminated from dawn till dusk
Reports by close of play 28 May if you can gents.
