Hello old friends, long time no see Smiley  Thanks Billy for the invite and I'll be ready to give this another go. Am currently building the Racebase MkII cockpit; hopefully this will improve my performance and "fun factor". The steering wheel clamped to the desk won't cut it anymore. I'll take the Brabham once again if it's avaliable. Thanks!

Don't worry too much about the leaders, there are lots of battles all over the grid.

Hi Karliss, don't forget to vote at the top of this thread so we can register you for the Novices.

I don't know; been messing about in the Cooper and it seems like a lot of fun, might be a nice change from the Brabham. Let me know if it will be avaliable, thanks...

I will be deciding on chassis allocations and will post them ASAP which won't be long now the drivers are registering. Like last year the chassis will be split into groups 1 to 4 as below:

GROUP 1
Lotus, Ferrari, BRM, Honda

GROUP 2
BT11

GROUP 3
Cooper

GROUP 4
BT7

The cars in Group 1 are generally faster than the others, though each of them has different strengths and suit different circuit styles, over the season they will be the best chassis.

Each driver will also be seeded either 1, 2, 3 or 4, and you may take any car in your seeding group or any car below it, but not above it.

i.e. If you are seeded 2 you may take any car in group 2, 3 or 4 but not 1. If you are seeded 3 you may take either the Cooper or the BT7 but nothing faster.

@Mark65 The Cooper does driver very nicely and handles well but bear in mind it is underpowered, so it is generally given to the faster Novices, but if anybody takes it through personal choice that is fine depending on seeding.

The tracks and versions along with the folder name are now complete at the top of this thread along with a link to it where applicable.

I'm going to repeat myself, but I insist that the BT11 is faster than the Honda and Ferrari, except on tracks like Monza and Spa (which are minority over a season).

Again, perhaps in certain hands yes.

The BT11's main advantage over those 2 chassis is in the corners, and in general, in the hands of most Novices that advantage is not exploited and the Hondas and Ferraris will be quicker over the season.

So you're saying that in Novices the better drivers gain time on the straights? That doesn't make sense to me...

Also, the groups are the same in Amateurs.
