As I'd be slowly skinned with a rusty spoon by the team manger if I were to take the Fez may I have the Black Team Mirage? Cheers.
DUHH! Just noticed Martin said the Fez - I'll stick with the Mirage though, if thats ok.

Looks like Chaparral 2F is available too My wheel decided to made me a birthday present and broke down I will go to a friend to test it on his PC, who knows maybe that something with my PC. If one of my teammates wants to race in 2F, than Lola or Porsche will be available. The worst thing is, that if it's broken I probably wont be able to race till next season

short race for me this time, chaps seems quick enough to get top 3 times in qually, but in start i lost engine and someone crash my car, shift-r and forgot to make my car to the pit for stop'n go . Finally after 3 laps i realised i was disqualified and stop my race to the pits.
better luck next time with rolling start

Incredibly, mindnumbingly tediously boring just about sums up my race. At one stange I found myself looking at the wall wishing the paint was wet so I could watch that dry instead of my screen.
I hadn't realised the speed differential on a track like this. To start with I thought the 7 second qually gap to the front must have been me being Captain Slow but I know this track pretty well and am usually competitive. A glance at Ronnie, the only other Porsche there, reassured my as I was only slightly off his time. Anyway early shenanigans in front put me up to 10th and I was determined to give it a go. But as the early spinners recovered they started cutting through me like butter then zooming off into the distance. The only highlight in the first third was I was near Martin, but even that was not racing as he just pulled away when his canter was right.
After that 25 odd lonely laps awaited, the only highlight to look forward to being H and Co zooming up behind at some, or many, stages. Still it's a team thing so push on although sadly I saw Juha go out. Anyway I tried to push the car to it's limits for something to do and too much over-revving saw me blow so game over.
I dread to think of the boredom that could be generated at Spa. That said it is fun to drive and I like the chassis but dead horses would have to drag me to a fast circuit unless it was a spec event.
Reading it back my post seems very negative and I don't mean it to be but it does highlight the huge difference on a fast circuit such as this. Probably in the hands of Hristo it might make it's mark but for the likes of me it makes for a goldfish lost amongst a sea of Piranhas.

I think your frustration is totally justified, Tim. I wouldn't ever race the Porsche around tracks like Monza. What's the point really? To see how much suffering you can endure? Unless it's a spec race as you say (and it would be rather fun IMO), it's a torture! And no, I don't think you can be competitive in it at such track, regardless of how good of a driver you are. Physics are set in stone in GPL as opposed to reality where nothing is certain. In fact, for the same reasons for which I'm against mixing up 2Ls and 3Ls in 66 mod racing, I'm against using the full mixture of cars in this mod, at least for such sprint races. It may be a different matter in a 2 hours race or longer, assuming reliability also comes into play. So far I haven't had a single engine blow up in my 2F though - less gear changes, no need to rev to the max because of abundance of torque, relatively low oil temp... perfect recipe for lasting the race distance without a problem. Race report going to wait, I'm off to try and record a Jarama lap and write a guide now.
