In any case, the moral victory still goes to the Oranges. Could you explain to me please, how on earth moral victory goes to Oranges? I really don't get it We won on track, we would've won even with a pitstop, so there you have it. And I agree on having teams, it makes racing a lot more involved and feel realistic, but if anything, I pity the team which chooses to run Porsches! I hope we do them as spec races throughout the season and forbid their use otherwise. Don't even think of handicapping me in a Porsche to race against the other cars!

You have broken the rules and because of that you can't say that you/your team is the moral winner I do realise that this is just a fun/testing series, but we do have few rules and it would be nice if everybody would learn them

Perhaps the world would've ended, so be glad I didn't stop.

Oh, I guess I'm flattered, LOL. I hope we live long enough to see some more Porsche drivers suffer though.

I love this ChapD cause its so forgiving when making mistakes and have a special relation with Chaps cause I won my first Championship with a ChapF in Slotracing in 1967 Axel How coincidental Axel. My dad won a a slot car 24Hr race, with 2 of his mates, in a scratch built earlier series 2 Can-Am Chapparal way back in about 65 or 66. He built the pan from alloy with proper sprung suspension...brass fabricated uprights, spring wire trailing arms etc.....Fibreglass body he moulded himself.....only the electric motor, rear axles, wheels and tyres were off the shelf Items. He still has the little trophy they won.....extraordinary that the Chap was such a popular slot car subject.....and a winner. Cheers Geoff.

My Chap 2F was a modified alloy chassis by Ruskit with a Lexan body. This was the first and then only slotcar with a big wing mounted that worked very efficient. Won 28 of 32 heats at that regional Championship. As a teen then, I earned my money for this expensive hobby by tuning those electric motors for my competitors. Cheers Axel

This is spooky!! I too was a slot racer in the 60's and I actually won a trophy for a GT open event. The trophy was a very detailed Can AM Chap 2E (open topped) mounted in a case. I still have that ( somewhere!!) and will try and upload a couple of pics. I toyed with running a 2F, but as I understood things back then the wing on the real car was movable and increased the down force under braking and acceleration, but levelled out at speed to reduce drag. I was unable to make that work on a 1/32 scale model and was not convinced that the aerodynamics at that scale would actually show any benefit, so I went for the Lola T70 .

It has been a very fun race. Without practice I could handle the ChapF2 pretty good (if I may say) I read something about a crazy jumping cat .............. I lost a bag of chips. It Felt of the table and watching that .......... I hit the aquaduct. Shift-r and driving away again I blow the engine. Creating a skirt of smoke I manage it to the pits, but my podium place was long forgiven by then. Enjoy racing with you all, thanks for the lessons Greetings Pedro.

Eh? I thought the series are over. Wasn't this Monza Pro Rolling Start race supposed to be just as a test outside the series?

Well yes I was just trying to add some interest to the next race.................and then maybe another, at least until the Green team are in front. Then I might decide that we have done enough races Seriously though, I will continue to give the points in the next race, just so that we have some data to compare. I know that it is hardly scientific, but once you involve humans ( and aliens) there is no control element so what else can I do . I am considering one further race at a circuit where the Porsche might have a fighting chance ( if I can find one!!), just to gain some more info. As has been suggested in previous posts, unless their are tracks that will give the Porsche a huge advantage in any race series, there really is no point in using it. So I thought I would try and find a track that suited them more than the muscle cars and test the theory.
