Alex please don't confuse Paul, already enough  Grin

The typical mdm_bandwith of GPL without Bandwith Patch is set to 3/84 3/84, 5 cars visible, one of them behind.
T7 server has the Bandwith Patch set to 3 cars behind, and the core.ini set to 3/84 3/132, that means 8 cars visible, 3 of them behind.
So if you don't set anything on Igor about bandwith, the server default is already right.

Afaik on T7 server there is a Brands67 Voodoo V1 installed.
Can you point to me the patch please?
Ciao

Anyway, my bigger concern right now is the screen freeze that a couple of us experienced, myself and Goran at the same time, which hints there's something going on at server's end.
Hristo I have still to check if there was a problem on the server during the race, anyway talking with JR after the race he confirmed that Brands67 has many freez problems as a track and GT mod doesn't help on that. Many, me included had very bad fps for all the first lap. When we raced last time with GT at Brands this didn't happen. So I'm asking if a full field of Porsche could be the culprit. And again I suspect that Paul didn't set the bandwith parameters appropriately, so this could be a problem too. I think we have to check again the Porsches before start the season IMO.

I checked Brands replay and Hristo and Goran got disco at the very same time, there were other discos?
Anyone got freezed at Silver?

We've raced Brands so often, Fulvio, and not just in UKGPL. It's a solid track and I never experienced a freeze at it before. Only long ago, before it was patched up. Perhaps you have an older version installed on the server? Doubt it though... it's not just Brands, other tracks have been freezing lately, tracks which are otherwise stable and have been used without an issue in the past.

Sorry mate - when I launched from Igor it was set to 3/84 on the client side and 3/384 on the server side [but DEDFINITELY not 132]. That must pick up from MY core.ini or, more likely, be 'remembered' from iGOR.

My fault, anyway but it definitely was not set to 132.

Sorry Axel but it was an invitation to pass I could not refuse.

Idiot that I am I took two stop and go penalties in the pits following two shift r's during the Silverstone race. Still good practice for next season.

By patch I meant that the track itself was fixed and re-released, so there isn't a separate patch. Not sure what I have, but it should be the same track as the one you can download from each Brands race announcement threads from the past few events we raced there.

Wondered how the hell I was racing you in a knobbled Eagle. Raced well last night at Silvy but car just didn't have the top speed to defend. Went out and did ten laps this morning and averaged 1:34.7! That would have got me fourth place.

Hmmm - I wonder if I posted the right track. Sorry again, if not.

Regardless of what you posted, I think Fulvio had it installed well before this race anyway, unless we used a different server when we last raced Brands before this event or if Fulvio reinstalled GPL on the server.

During last nights 2 races, I was bumped from behind, 3 times.  I have consequently formed the opinion, I have merely acquired the skills of a mobile chicane . . .  but a fast one, I tell ye! Tongue

Sorry Martin for the bumps, you had magnets on your rear Cheesy
At Brands your car was always sideways on turns and I had an hard work to avoid you till we touched at T1, but I think in that occasion you had slowed down a bit too much. Low fps didn't help too.
At Silver last lap it was my fault, I misjudged your braking point, but I had the worst while you could continue unscathed.

Martin - I could hardly stop myself from laughing when you went to lap Badblood and he baulked you completely... I dont think I`ve passed two cars at one corner before Smiley
Mind you, I felt like I had some good form last night and barring a few silly mistakes I felt right on it for once Smiley

Whoops - when was that? I was not very controlled last night in the GTs. Funnily enough I drove at my best at Silverstone.

Sorry Martin, but sometimes you just can't help yourself.

I checked Brands replay and Hristo and Goran got disco at the very same time, there were other discos?

as far as i can tell the updated and fixed version of brands67 that was made while testing the GT mod has never been released , I've just asked in another place about getting it published .

while testing the gt mod at brands67 we had many discos till it was fixed but afterwards it became stable .

i believe that a only a few files of the original brands cause the problem however the unreleased and fixed version also has a few tweaks as well as upgraded gfx .

That is interesting John.

When the GT mod was released I recall that we had to have certain tracks already installed? and one of those was Brands which I downloaded again. I had assumed that this was an "upgraded" version that had been tweaked to remove some of the instabilities in the old version.

From what you are saying that was not the case and might explain just some of our problems at Brands, because historically it was a suspect track and we appear to be using the same track file?
