Let's hope our members keep piling up. It would be nice if some of the newcomers for the Porsche division would sign up for other divisions as well.

Yes, the Porsche Super Cup has been a great shop window for UKGPL, the trick is to keep everyone in the shop once they open the door.

Yes, just vote at the top of the registration threads in this section of the forum, for each division you want to enter, and you'll be automatically made eligible for entering any of this season's remaining races.

Hi there! I wouldnt worry too much about competetiveness to start with.. Just get on track with us and have some fun racing. The novices division covers quite a wide range of driving skills from "barely-able-to-do-more-than-a-few-laps-without-spinning" to "too-good-to-be-a-novice-so-piss-off-and-play-with-the-big-boys", so whatever your skill level you should get to race with someone similar Smiley

Hello there,

My name is Lukasz and i would like to join for last two races if possible. I try to setup everything well to join next season without glitches.

I don't know if I need to chose any chassis here and now but if so then something between Brabham Cooper Eagle please.

Hi Lukasz.

Welcome.  I'm sure one of the management will be along very soon to get you signed in.

Have fun.

Hi Lukasz,
I have processed your registration and put you in as a Reserve. We already have 19 signed up as full time but, based on attendences, it's likely you will get a drive.
Mike 'miner' deals with chassis allocations which is really based on your experience/speed. Do you have a GPL rank and have you done much online racing before?

Novices are using GPL65 mod and there's no Eagle in this mod Wink

Hi Lukasz, as there are only 2 races left you can take you preferred chassis and we will re-assess the allocation for next season.

Thanks

I was driving GPL since the demo apear for first time. I remember in my country there was a lot of talking about absolutely amazing UK driver - Roos (if I remember well). My first wheel I remember like yesterday that was Trustmaster - pieces of junk but there was no choice.
I was one who establish first www about GPL in poland. There was another guy who made another one, we contact each other and we merge our sites into one.
Later when site start to grow, I establish NASCAR racing site and we start to race GPL and Nascar online.
Some time later I finish with WWW and other guy tooks full control. Any way i never was great in GPL nor other Simulators but always got fun.
I use to play beside GPL and Nascar: Richard Burns Rally, rfactor F1 1979 and megan thropy, GTL. But GPL is just briliant and for all this years I was alvays returning to it. Now after some break i just want to try online again. Connection should be better this days, maybe less wharping, more pleasure to play with real drivers !!
I comes here cose for about 7 years I live in UK in London and this is place where i wanted to apear.
Thanks for wellcome msg. I know (now) there is not Eagle in 1965 - before I use only 1967 oryginal one.
But last couple of days I was trying other mods - 1969 and 1965

I never been on any GPL rank cos when I was last time racing there was not sucha thing. Do you think I need to go there?

I guess I chose my litle Brabham for try online. Just need to get back with driving rutine.

Hi,

GPL Rank was created in 2000 or 2001, so that's a long time since you raced GPL!  Shocked

Hi Luked, welcome to UKGPL. There is no need to use GPLRank, however many of us here find it useful for keeping track of our best laps in each car, mod and track. You can see which tracks are your weak ones and try to beat the benchmark time (or "go green" as it is often called).

Mike will look at your performances in the next two races and assign you a chassis for next season based on that.

If you are looking for some more racing with the 65 mod, join us tonight at Hockenheim in the Spec series, details are here. https://www.simracing.org.uk/smf/index.php?topic=9791#event2649

I try to be there cos I'm working. I'm a courier then u dont know when u gonna finish, especialy friday night. i suppose finish at 1800 but 1900 is more possible if nothing unusula happen. If I finish around 1900 then maybe I'll be there.

I was playing since 2000 but only some times - like one week for a few monts - never bother anything online cos there was no time for that.
