Hi there.

I'd like to try online racing, but I've had endless problems getting it to work. My mate Baab races in this cup, and reckons this is where I would fit (GPL rank of -21).

Can anyone help me make it work? I have followed the iGor guide and set all permissions in my router, but e.g. Baab and I can never have an online race together...

Cheers

Woohoo a race at Monaco Cool Finally someone from the admins of any league I've driven in is bold enough to give it a go Smiley . Been racing online for 5 years now and in all those years I've only participated in one Monaco race. Already looking forward to it Smiley .

in the 67 division the papy tracks are rotated so we race all of them equally .

Another sign in. Not sure if I'll take the Brabham throughout S21 this time. Let's see  Grin.

I resgistered as <75% so will be in as a reserve driver, I'm not sure how things will develop this year with moving work location and house so don't think I will make all of the races.

Anyway, I want to ask your opinions please; I'm having second thoughts as to whether works is the right place for me. I got a bit fed up last season with effectively making up the numbers in the series and not getting a great deal of racing. I dont see my driving performance changing much any time soon, I have too much other stuff going on to dedicate any more time to practising so, the qustion is, do I stick with works in the hope that by racing drivers who are significantly faster I somehow get better, or change my option to privateers and likely get much more fun and competition, which is what I'm here for at the end of the day.

I have to be honest, I'm favouring privateers just now, unless you guys can persuade me otherwise.

What do you think? (don't worry about being honest, I can take it!)

I've signed for Privateers after my best forgotten season in Works. I haven't seen anyone move up from Privateers yet.

Well, I think only drivers who race with you directly can give an objective opinion, Steve. As much as I would like, we rarely race each other directly on the track, so I can't say anything. From the side it looked like you had a lot of good racing with Phil in most races, judging from your and his comments.

As much as time will allow. Our home connection's been uprated a bit and I'm moving out in the next couple of months. Helps I work for a telecoms co that I have access to the best packages. Cheesy

Dunno about exactly presuading. But i'm new here and vosblod is suggesting i should do Works. I'm -27 gpl rank and few years out of practice. For example, i've got Monaco PB 1.27.7 from 2006  Roll Eyes
I'll give it a shot anyway. But it would be a nicer shot if there will be some more company at the back.

Oh dear! 1:28.8 at Monaco is my PB lol

H - thanks, yes I've had some good races with Phil but mostly 65s, he's a good bit quicker than me in a 67 normally Smiley not sure what Phils up to yet.
