I hate to think allways: "I can't use this open door because there could be warping"

.Holy words!

That's how it is though - if you take the risk despite knowing there's warp, it's your fault for any contact that may happen. Unless you can fix warp in GPL for all of us, you have to deal with it just like all of us...

It's not so much of an issue though, as long as you have good ping. Just leave some additional room between yours and other cars.

Not worth a separate post but just thought I would highlight something else that has cropped up recently. This is addressed to our Shift/R drivers.
I know you guys put in a fair amount of practice but how often do you test your pitting in skills and check where a circuits pit entrance is. With all resets now requiring a compulsory stop of some sort it is more likely to be an occurrence during the races.
I am guilty myself having recently found a stretch of tarmac off-track when looking for the pit entrance and that was at Silverstone. Might be worth a quick check in practice so you don't get caught short during a race...

Good advice, Tim, and if I may add another - practice starting from the grid so you can see, approximately, where you need to brake for T1. Most L1 T1 accidents occur because someone thinks they can brake much later than normal, due to the standing start, and then they run into the back of another car or have to throw themselves to the side to avoid contact. Another useful thing to practice related to this is to approach T1 at speed on the inside and see where you need to brake. This helps both on the start if you're on an inside position and also in the race when running side by side with someone. Of course this applies to other corners on the circuit as well.

Hi Tim. I check and practice before all my races if shift/r is allowed and it helps nearly always. BUT it can still go horribly wrong on occasion. At Keimola recently I simply lost track of where the hell I was and it took me a while to find where I should be. At my nemesis track, Kyalami (with pit wall installed), I just lost the plot in the heat of the moment last season.

Wasn't aimed at you Ronnie there have been other issues. Then I realised I'm not always sure where the entrance is so it's also a note to self Wink
