This has cropped up recently so a reminder that, although it is rare, the moderators can look at incidents during qualifying sessions. There are some notes under the 'Qualifying Sessions' section within the
recommended driver behaviour as to the expected standards and in-game chat is addressed under our
Sporting Regulations;
""As a general rule, chat is not allowed during league races, except after all drivers on track have passed the chequered flag. This applies to both qualification and race sessions.
The only exceptions to this are "PO" or similar for exiting the pits, "PI" for entering the pits and "S" to apologize after an accident. Even using "S" after an accident is not encouraged; a driver should be able to apologize after the race, any unnecessary chatting is distracting to the other drivers."
I am taking the liberty of quoting something Clive has produced re expected standards to summarise things;
1) No chat..except PO or pit out messages until the session is over.
2) Do NOT launch yourself from the pit lane directly on to the racing line for T1. Check where the next car is and remember that it will be closing on you very rapidly, so be prepared to wait at the pit exit or travel very slowly off the racing line until you can see that the track behind is clear.
3) On your out lap do not impede drivers who are on a "hot lap" keep off the racing line and take to the grass if necessary to give others a clear run.
4) Every driver is entitled to their "fast lap" attempt. Just because you are quicker it does not give you the right to the racing line. The car in front maybe going as fast as he can and is not obliged to give way if he is no his own hot lap.
5) Each driver must find the space to complete their own best lap, by judging where other cars are, just as F1 drivers have to.
6) When you have completed your fast lap and are going to return to the pits, check your mirrors before you pull over and slow down to ensure that you do not impede someone who is about to start their flying lap.
7) If you make a mistake on your fast lap the rejoin rules still apply, PLUS remember that for the rest of that lap you need to keep off the racing line.
