Bastian is leading Tris and Axel in a battle for 3rd spot.
Approaching the corner to take them onto the straight Tris makes a move down the inside, Bastian is turning in but sees Tris approaching. Bastian aborts his line to the apex and has to slow in order to take a wider line through the corner. Axel who is following closely is caught out as Bastian takes a slightly wider line and slows.
This is extremely fortunate for Tris as he is unable to turn his car and actually runs right across the track onto the grass. Tris would have undoubtedly hit Bastian if he had not moved off line to give Tris room. Bastian might have been able to make the undercut on Tris if Axel had not got there first. Axel clips the rear of Bastian and spins him out.
This is a difficult incident to moderate.
There is no doubt that Bastian suffered, but did nothing wrong.
Axel might not have clipped Bastian if Bastian had not made room for Tris
Tris benefitted from the whole incident and yet he was the driver who initiated the chain of events and would have hit Bastian if Bastian had not been aware.
I cannot penalise Bastian, he did nothing wrong.
I cannot penalise Tris because, although he precipitated the incident, he did not make contact with anyone.
I could penalise Axel for rear ending Bastian, but that seems harsh as he was a victim of events ahead.
Therefore I am going to call it a Racing Incident, but with a warning to Tris to be careful with braking in the 55's

Lap 15
Clive has been following Fran's Slipstreamer for several laps and although Clive has the advantage through the corners he cannot match the speed of the Merc on the straights.
Through T2 Fran makes a small mistake and it allows Clive to get alongside running down to T3.
Clive is on the outside but Fran's greater speed pulls him slightly ahead and Clive tucks in behind.
Fran's speed causes him to miss the apex and he is running just inside the centre line, leaving an inviting gap on his inside. Clive is seduced into going for that gap.
Clive holds a tight line against the grass and gets right alongside Fran.
On the exit of the corner there is a coming together. After replaying this several times and from the perspective of both cars I think this was a Racing Incident.
At the exit of the corner Fran's car gets more grip and turns in just slightly. At the same moment Clive's car which is pushing really hard drifts out just a little.
Both cars are effectively within half of the road width at all times and if no-one had deviated then both would have emerged unscathed. But each car moved fractionally towards the other at the same time and any clearance evaporated. Fran suffered more because GPL always punishes the car on the outside.
I am inclined to call this a Racing Incident as it difficult to lay the blame at either driver. Clive was completely alongside and entitled to contest the corner. Although he did not stray from his own side of the track, Fran never vacated the inner half of the same track.
