Everything went wrong on lap 1. Didn't see the starter/official, thanks to my wider horizontal FOV for triple screens (vertical FOV is smaller then).
So, missed the start, tight grid didn't help, and then also got oversteer in T2 in traffic, lifting off too much with my agressive diff, dropping to the very rear. Then 3-5 cars went off at the second chicane, I slowed a bit, but one car just drove in front of me back on track! Maybe it was the aftermath of the crashes there but in the race it pissed me off and it looked rather silly. Felt I had damage but only resetted a lap later. Also a stop & go meant I was about 35s back from the lead!
I tried my hardest and climbed up the order, but also made too many mistakes. Even though catched up with Dean late race, but made a few silly mistakes throwing a chance away for the win.
Luck wasn't on my side today, and also wasn't driving at my best. It wasn't for my efforts though, I tried hard, maybe too hard, and then also didn't want to take out Dean. When I caught up with him went alongside once, but then made some silly mistakes/decisions, instead of being patient.
Dean deserved that win, I had my chances! Well done mate!
As I said before you're driving better than ever it seems, and you deserve to win the Joe Shaw Memorial Trophy!
