Moderator's Report

Only the one incident on this server, in the Red Zone, and no others reported. Keep up the good work gents.

Server replay time: 0

A very similar incident to the one on the other server, however, in this instance contact was made. Joe (Miniblood) gets a good start and rounds up Jonny O to the outside of the track on the normal racing line. Jason Blito equally starts well and zips past Johnny up the inside. Both continue on their respective courses until full side contact is made.
I'm hard pressed to attribute any blame here and it seems to be a case of right place, wrong time X2. Neither would have had a clue where the other was as they were both traveling on opposite sides of the VERY wide straight. To make it worse, both seemed to be judging clearance off Jonny O who was mid track, and would have been masking any possible sighting of each other, until they met at the point of impact. Jason's corner entry was pretty sloppy and a tad fast, which forced him to drift off the racing line at approximately mid corner. But there is nothing in the rules about sloppy driving, luckily, otherwise we'd all be on suspension. I'll insert a caution here, to remind all drivers in this situation to take all possible steps to maintain their own side of the track until other cars nearby become visible. I'm putting this down to an unfortunate racing incident, as 2 cars into one track space simply do not go. To give penalties here would be counter-productive in an effort to produce good racing. And for Mini...put it down to experience.

Moderator's Report

A relatively good start to the season in the Porsche Cup, with only one reported incident....which was part of the 3 first lap incidents due moderation as per the Red Zone rule. Well done gents, overall excellent driving. Let's try to keep it that way for the remainder.....

Server replay time: 0

Nicky turns in to turn 1 from about mid track, while M. Zampedri, starting from an inside grid runs straight up the inside. Nicky's replay shows contact, but the server replay shows Zampedri to be 2-3ft clear of the rear quarter of Nicky's car. Further evidence of warp being the fact that had the two cars actually made contact, both would normally have spun off. As it was, Mr. Zampedri continued unimpeded, suggesting a decent wallop of warp. Heavy warp seems to be more likely in a packed, startline environment.....so leaving a little more space between cars, especially in Pro events seems prudent.

  • Racing incident

Server replay time: 0h01m01s

Sky loses it and spins across the track. Paul Markey (Screwcutter) is very slow to react and hits Sky amidships. Paul might have reacted faster but contact was unavoidable. The Chief Moderator (Vosblod) decide summary justice is due and rear ends Paul spinning him off - unavoidable prang for the boss.

Server replay time: 0h03m00s

Fulvio has an exciting few corners. He hits Natan from behind but they are both OK. It is Fulvio's responsibility to avoid the contact but he is experienced enough to know that and this is just a gentle tap.

Server replay time: 0h03m16s

This time Fulvio gives Natan a big whack, but Natan has lost it under braking and contact is unavoidable. The two of them collect Hendy as an afterthought.

@servers managers

How do you think to manage 13 Teams of 3 pilots = 39 pilots on 2 servers that can contains only 38 pilots ?

We are maxed out at 12 teams and Mark Barresi has resigned from this series which leaves Bob and myself short. Roberto and Piero are unattached and I may not be able to drive - so 36 drivers but let us see who turns up on the night. If we get 36 I will be surprised but pleased.

Oh dear!  Only just read this, was actually thinking we had quite a steal in Mark, thinking he was edging towards pro (he's probably faster than me anyways).  Hmm...so we are in need of an amateur at this very late stage, shame the reserves are so bloody fast!!  If you can't drive tomorrow Paul, we won't have much of a team  Huh  Umm....a less than ideal way to start the season, but we live in hope....just about!

Are others allowed to change teams part way through. Thinking of last season when quite a few lost interest.

Bob

The main problem here Bob is we got more Pro than Inter or Novice drivers signing up this time round.....and.....basically, there is no-one available to pad out the teams. Many of last seasons competitors have not re-registered to concentrate on other divisions. Fair enough too. Rather than bar drivers that have registered incomplete teams, we may well have to run what we have.....and possibly pick up some new, non-Pro entrants as we go. It's disappointing, but ya just can't polish a t**d. We run as we are for now. Unless there are any other ideas floating around, but with the kickoff tomorrow.....it's a tad late.

Joining direct via IP is fine. Make sure you get the right server though. TBH Not sure which server you need as I can't see you in a team Sad

We will sort it out in chat tonight Tom so please still use iGOR to join the pre race chat to ensure we don't get the wrong drivers on the wrong server
