Moderator's Report

Only one incident of note although several cars left the track early and Tristan over rotates just in front of Hristo, who has nowhere to go, just outside the Red Zone - but that's racing.

Well done top Piero for keeping it nice and clean from the back.

Server replay time: 0h01m01s

Cookie outbrakes himself and cuts the corner. As he rejoins he is a bit hasty and joins in Andreas path. He should have been a bit more patient!

Rules say "The rejoining driver was NOT in full control but nevertheless attempted to drive straight back onto the racing line without any consideration for other drivers and contact was made." I think Cookie did recognise that Andreas was there but wobbled as he rejoined. So only 1 place penalty. He gets the other place back for a Red Zone incident :(

Grats to Hristo on a great recovery and the win and hard luck Art...you almost got away and clear. Just a few too many laps left for Hristo to hunt you down.  lol

I tried to stay with Art in the early laps but I was struggling with a car that had 3 flat spots on each tyre and broken springs. I reckon it was sabotaged  Roll Eyes A couple of near race ending offs when the car suddenly snapped right or left over an invisible bump and I decided that this was one of those races where I would play the percentage game and just drive for the finish and hope for retirements ahead. When Hristo caught me I confess I did not put up much of a fight and once he was past I returned to my own safe pace.
Even then I bounced off the track a couple of times and Dean loomed from behind and was almost within striking distance after each excursion. Luckily he had problems of his own and dropped back allowing me to cruise in for a safe 3rd place.
I cannot really say I was racing, because I had more of a fight with the circuit than I did with any of the other cars  lol.

Just for once I almost wish I could say that I had a freeze!  Undecided
I find this circuit just way too bumpy and my arms were aching from the FF after only a few laps, plus I find that the car is pulled across the track by invisible grooves in the tarmac at various points. Maybe it is the way I set my car up that makes it bad, but I would be interested to know if others find this track as uncomfortable as I do??

...if others find this track as uncomfortable as I do??

Yes. I'd had a 1:26.7 here before with a now-missing setup  :'(, but couldn't get near that in qual. Tried a CF65 setup that I've had luck with at other tracks, changing a few things, mostly made it worse, so went for fairly soft setup for the race with a "just get what points I can" attitude. You tempted me into pushing a bit harder, seeing the gap ahead drop occasionally, but that just made me find more invisible bumps to go off track with Tongue.

Unfriendly place, so of course H likes it.  Cheesy

I suffered a nasty attack of the glitches, on the sands of Bridgehampton.  It came from a little used partition.  The 69x comes with a conflict in my installations, so I put it amongst the graphically challenged, for a test as a guest in '69.  Things did not go smoothly.

Bridgehampton by the sea, was built amongst the sand dunes, and the track builder decided to simulate the drifting sand, by adding anomalies to the track surface, to simulate the variable traction.  It wasn't until the last practice lap, conditions were right to grab a pole from David, from which to bolt down the track. Cool

A glitch free start, meant a clean getaway, with a healthy margin by lap 4, when there came an argument with a sand dune.  Selected 1st gear, but realized I would strand myself without a paddle, on the dunes ridge.  So reversed, and then gave the smirking spectators a good sand bath, while regaining the track.  Relegated to 3rd, I was intent on forward progression.

My task was to chase down leader David, and by midrace, I'd halved the distance.  This suddenly became 3 car lengths, after he turned around to check my distance.  I then thought the polite thing to do, would be to wave his guest through, and waited for his gesture.  It wasn't quite as I'd expected!  He waited for a bit, and then decided to head off into the distance, which seemed highly ungrateful.  I'll not be inviting him to tea! Tongue

Great fun to drive a '69 again.  I'll attempt to glitch around the final round, and hope to see a few more competitors there.

I don't like tea, but you can invite me for coffee Wink

At the start, I was afraid to have a boring race with only 4 racers. But, thanks to Jonny at the begin and to Martin during all the races, it was a very hard and so a very pleasant battle.

Jonny get the fast lap, Martin the pole ...and the victory was for me ! Tasks were perfectly dispatched (from my point of view).

And Philippe get some interesting points for the championship, as I should be missing the next 69X race on 31/05 the championship is still open !

Yeah, but you need a server replay for an official championship race, according to the league's rules. We had a similar issue some time ago in works (S22 I think?) and we had to rerun..

So what if there is no replay, I don't see how that negates the result of the race...

A rerun is out of question IMO. Just because of a replay? We have the results, just upload a client replay to serve as a server replay. Or at least put up a vote about it. I very much doubt most people would like to run this track again this season, plus I can't accept that after driving one of my best races the result has to be dropped as if nothing happened.
