It is the new one Bernie. Not the Papyrus original. I used to struggle at this track until I upgraded my pc in line with Axel's instructions.

Hi, fellas. First, let me say that I know that my very good amigo, Jonny, is in great distress over our collision at Nassau last Sunday. Jonny is a good driver and a true friend on this and other league forums. I am just as much to blame for our shunt as I didn't take a 'look right' from the button on my steering wheel. If I had, I surely would have not turned in where and when I did. Jonny... Amigo... Take very good care. Don't beat yourself up over this, buddy.
I've stated that I consider that my crash was severe enough to warrant a stay in hospital and that, in real life, I'd miss races. It's difficult to assess the violence and consequences of a motorsports incident. So many variables are in play. How to quantify a shunt? Speed? Yes, of course. Violence? Sure. Flips? Most definitely a factor. For a racing sim, how to best evaluate and assign a consequence?
Racing is a gamble. Anyone who's ever strapped on a helmet...or, back in the day, a leather nappie...just had to know that they were putting life and limb at risk. All accepted this risk and some paid the ultimate price. If racing is a gamble then, why not roll dice to simulate one's fate?
I've considered the odds of a dice roll using two cubes and yesterday afternoon, started to formulate a chart with values and consequences. I've massaged it and altered it to the point where I'm now quite satisfied with the results. A shunt can result is nothing whatsoever beyond a bit of a shake-up right up to a fatal. It depends on the dice rolls. I'd like to point out that this result was rolled just last evening after stating as much previously and as it was totally beyond any subjective input, I have to accept the roll of the dice.
With regards to the values of the dice rolls, the low and top values...ie, 2-3 and 11-12...are bad news. Mid-range values...6-8...get me off light with no consequences.
For Nassau, I rolled 12, 12 & 9. A third roll of 12...or 2...and I'd be done. As it is, the two rolls of 12 aren't good.
Following the chart I've developed, I'll be standing down for Spa and Zandvoort returning for Avus.
I'll be employing this injury chart for the GP1955 season and other championships in S37.

..................Where can I buy a set of dice like yours Doni??? When I am playing board games with the grandchildren I can never roll a 12!!! and you did it twice in a row??? . Usually when grandad here needs a 12, all he gets is a 3!! You have got me thinking though Doni, about a system of grading incidents, and the possible injury implications in a true racing SIM. Maybe someone who knows the inner workings of GPL and the text import records etc. can tell me if there is any data recorded as to an accident on track?? or is it simply recorded as "accident" DNF??

The vehicle damage is in the replay data, that could be used.

nteresting race, yesterday, in the begin, I was very careful with the attacks of B group, since I was wanting to pass me and he played it several times, in one of those, he went slightly to the grass and I could already catch a rhythm strong, to try to catch (but in my dreams) evil. the masserati very fast and the noble conaught worked wonderfully for me, I was able to set a very strong pace and I had for the 2.48 but I didn't want to risk it because if he kept driving calmly as he was, he secured the 2 position and podiumis podium The fight for the 3rd position of my Brazilian brother du lima with clive leads by the prebluda and it is interesting. Congratulations brother for that 3 place and you evil for that overwhelming victory. Doni's medical report came to me, and I was told by the doctors from Ontario who are discharging him tomorrow, so he can present himself for the next race, fortunately the helmet saved Doni's life and he only suffered a few bruises .... Jonnie O has already brought him chocolates to the hospital room and they have already scheduled to go dancing together next Friday cya next race and doni I want to see you there Thank you my big Mexican brother. Congratulations on second place. In fact I think it was a first place. Evil is in an alien piloting mode. It looks like silver arrows. The rest of the grid fights for the other positions jajajajajaja

It's always a pleasure for me to be able to compete and run side by side with you. You are a very clean pilot.
I'm pleased you enjoyed the race it is fun racing with you, you are a very fair and quick driver. I try to drive carefully and be cognisant of others but it is always easy to make a mistake or get over excited and push too hard. I nearly made a huge error at the start but thankfully Fulvio was alert. The start is always hectic but once we settled down into a rhythm I was able to drive consistently and cleanly. As Evil has said, driving these cars requires tact and guile, every move has to be planned and executed cleanly. It is what makes these cars so different, it is like a game of chess. Anyone can make a mistake, what is important is that we learn from them. After all it is a game and we are here to have fun. But is is always more fun if we all finish the race. It could have been so different for me if I had hit Fulvio, the margins of error are so tight. I'm sure everyone has learnt something from this race and once the adrenaline has subsided and we check our wounds, hopefully we will find there aren't as many broken bones as we first feared and everyone will be ready for a go at Spa. Stay safe and I'll make sure there is a very loose grid in the Ardennes countryside May everyone's championship be played and enjoyable as was our race Stay well, stay firm

Excitement and danger could be minimised, by starting cars at 10 second intervals.
