Same thing here .

CTD's whenever you crash ( i.e. about 5 times per lap ) Not good and much prefared the old track , maybe cos I feel more confident on the early version , at least you could hit the bales and get away with it , no such luck with this version  Roll Eyes

Given the choice, I reckon that drivers would prefer reliability over CsTD. Personnally, I'd go for whichever version is the most stable for the majority of drivers.

If you crash then you may be out of the race anyway so does it matter?

If the drivers of 1955 crashed they were probably dead. Think of it as additional realism.

Could we please have the race server running to see if it is better or worse?

In last season in the 50 version I had high expectations and ended stuck in a hedge. Since then I don't take our gettogethers so serious, find my race pace and if it is enough for second or sixth or tenth, fun enough.

I'd rather race the 55 Dundrod since it's been in the server from the beginning of the week. If you crash here and don't CTD, or don't get stuck off track, and manage to drive away, your car won't be much drivable anyway. Just slow down and find your race pace.

Practice servers are up on iGOR. Damage is Pro mode so the practice will be consistent with race conditions. Please test your connections.

CTD when you are in the middle of a field is not a problem IMO. Please try to stay on the track. A CTD on the racing line is a real issue. Please post here if you have a CTD under normal racing conditions (i.e. not when you are stuck in a tree).

I've done a few practice laps both on and off-line. There are places where driving off-track will cause a CTD (off-line and on-line). The most noticeable is at Wheeler's Corner. If you drive up the slip road past the "Slow Wet Tar" sign, there is no way back onto the track. Every time I tried to re-join I got a CTD. So the simple answer here is that it is a Pro race so please drive within your abilities and stay on the tarmac. There doesn't appear to be any CTD problems if you stay on the track.

The hedgerows are quite forgiving and a minor transgression will go unpunished, but if you leave the track completely and start driving around the fields you run the risk of a CTD.

I had a CTD last time we raced with the 1950 version. I hit a hedge and that was it, a CTD. I wasn't running the "No freeze patch" at the time, which I'm sure will help, but the 1950 version is not immune.

Just had a CTD at Wheelers.  I had just touched the dirt on the way into the corner and was coming in well sideways but still on the right line.  Normal approach for Evil!

Opps I'd not experienced that. I've run wide on the exit many times and never had a problem but I've never tried the Evil slide approach  Shocked

Unfortunately I'm going to miss this race but thankfully Axel and Dave have stepped in and are providing the servers. Pity, I really like this track. It has a great flow and is very satisfying when you get it right. Good luck tonight gents.

Same for me, same corner, if the nose points to the right even if the car is on the tarmac CTD. There must be some issues with the landscape  i guess.

I've just done a few laps with no problem? I even drove up and down the fence on the left (through the Dunlop corner sign and the spectators) but again no issues Huh However, drive past the "Slow Wet Tarmac" sign and a CTD is guaranteed.

I'll try again.

After several tries I have now managed to recreate the CTD Clive and Giovanni have identified. Going into Wheelers sideways (approaching the apex with a lot of opposite lock and the car pointing towards the inside grass verge) practically at 90 degrees to the racing line, I do get a CTD.

At this stage it is a bit late to change so I suggest drivers are extra careful at Wheelers.

Is that UKGPL_8 for Works?  And do we need a port number?
