Well, it's shame to lose that race, but it can't be helped sometimes. At least I get to leave the season at the top of the drivers standings...

As I explained to some in iGor I am unlikely to be able to compete again this season due to an ankle operation, but I'll see you all next season. Hopefully Greg and Baab can keep Team Baarf at the top of the team's league too.

So what happens now? We skip this round? No tokens spent? Race it again latter?

I'm sure we are all wondering about this. @David any news?  Guess it could be challenging to find an available evening

As for my races, was surprised to qualify near the front for the first one, then was a bit concerned about the start, however I ran out of time as I adjusted my diff and suddenly heard revving engines...the short lap and my last ditch qual attempt catching me out!  So started from the pits over half a mile behind but picked-up a couple of places as others fell off.  I was catching Fulvio then it all ended.

For the second start I qualified a bit lower down and had a massive scare as a couple of cars tangled in-front of me, as I braked in avoidance several others blew by!  A lap or two later I almost collected Clive into the blue cafe corner and spun.  After that I was back behind Fulvio and managed to pass him shortly before the second disco.

Cheers for organizing.

PS @Axel, not sure if it's related but I have also had connection issues with my tinternet over the past weeks, even raising a ticket with O2....shortly before I switch to a new ISP....that could be the reason in my case!

even in first quali a few cars were blinking on/off, so I think the general connection was suspect even then.

There are 2 possibilities : next Friday 04/11 or Friday 18/11

I'll check with Phil and/or Axel if they can start a server next Friday.

Just be ready !

The server is up on iGOR in case anyone would like to test their connections.

There is also a nice graphics update available for East London (see here) if anyone would like to try it.

That was quite an eventful race for me. I qualified 5th which I was very happy with, but the grid was very tight with everyone posting impressive times. I got a decent start but I got caught out on my cold tyres when braking for the Esses. I had to take to the grass to avoid rear ending Bob and I dropped to the back of the field. Fortunately, I didn't lose too much time and I set off after the pack. The qualifying times were so close it was difficult to engineer a passing opportunity, so I had to be patient. I picked my way past Evil, Doni and Fulvio but then it took me a few laps to catch Greg. He was wringing the neck of the Cooper and I had to use all the power of the Lotus to squeeze past at Butts. Luckily for me Syd and Leo had excursions onto the grass at some point which gifted me another couple of places. I tried my best to catch Bob but despite putting in the fastest lap, I couldn't get near (I'm pretty sure Bob has some performance in reserve he could unleash if I ever got close enough). I was a bit worried about Syd catching me but a spin at Beacon Bend with 5 laps to go gave me a bit of breathing space. A podium after having dropped to the back was a great result for me. Syd and Leo stayed ahead of Greg which means I have leapfrogged him to the top of the championship table. I can't see me staying there for long though, with 2 races to go there are still a lot of points to be won.
