Season 42 – 1967 F1 – Round 3 – Privateers - Mosport
For the third round of this championship we are off to Canada. The first ever Canadian Grand Prix was held at Mosport in 1967 and was won by Jack Brabham. The circuit was used again in 1969 in a race won by Jackie Ickx. Jackie Stewart crashed out after tangling with a back marker. More like something you would find in a GPL race than a real F1 event!.

Please use the Track Gap Freeze Fix Patch V.09 for all on-line races. Please READ CAREFULLY THE RULES : A driver must cross the start line in order to register the use of a chassis, participation in qualifying is not sufficient. The tokens system will be used with drivers being awarded tokens for starting the season and for starting each race. Each car will cost a number of tokens per race. Drivers are reminded that Lap 1 incidents carry an extra 1 place penalty. Drivers must complete 50% race distance to score. MOD PRO so no shift-R Only reported incidents will be moderated. Please, excepting emergencies, no chat until Session Completed in qualification. No chat in the race until ALL drivers still racing have crossed the line. Please check the Season 42 details regarding rules and the 1967 F1 Privateers Championship pages in particular.

Electric motor problems for Francesco. My carefully crafted race stratey consisted of, "Don't melt the tyres, don't melt the tyres." Unfortunately, I forgot about the, "Don't blow the motor, don't blow the motor," part.  |

Moderators, please check my race. My PRIBLUDA screen showed every driver in the race going red about the 6th lap, and I knew that the server had sent me to heaven. The final results screen showed me 30 laps down. That is an error. I was still running, at least two laps down (I have no way of knowing), at the finish.
On L1 I was caught up in the mayhem caused when Axel slid back on the track after losing it coming out of T3. I almost got through unscathed but as luck would have it, I was on the racing line coming up to T4. If I'd been anywhere else on the track, even in the weeds on either side of the track, I would have missed the entire mess. Replay Analyzer can't read the header file of the replay I saved, so I'm not sure what sort of damage I suffered. It was enough to make me consider retiring after a few more laps, but I soldiered on for some reason that has not yet been revealed to me.

From a quick peek at GPLRA on the server replay - yes, it shows 5 race laps. However, your later damage is noted  Can be investigated as requested. 1m30.680s

The detailed race report shows me disconnecting and then magically reappearing three times. I cannot account for this. I've got an ethernet cable connect from the router to my game computer and I'm getting a reliable 350Mbps download speeds and 12Mbps upload.

I was very lucky to finish this race after a very bad begin :
at the start, Billy made a "Mansell-Jerez 1990" start against me, it allowed Dave C. to overtake us
Lap 3, I went out of the track after a mistake at Clayton corner, I lost two places (Martin and Francesco)
Lap 4, my car did a double 360° in the grass after a contact with Ricardo's car badly rejoining the track (Ricardo waited for me but I lost again several places)
Lap 5, Ricardo was slowed by Eric at Moss and I rearended him ... so 1 - 1 !
For the rest of the race, I was following Eric with no opportunity to overtake.
Bad luck for Mikos, excluded because he had not enough tokens ...
