Maybe as a reserve, in case there is a need to make the numbers up.
One thing, the download link points to the beta for reims66, although the stated track folder is given as reims (for final track' Reims 1967 French Grand Prix).
Is it the beta reims66 which will be used?
EDIT: I see that UKGPL07 is online with track reims, so maybe the download link needs to be adjusted to not point at reims66?

Hey everyone, I'd like to make an entry please  I've only been away for 15 years ! Had a little practice, but really struggling for framerate. I have the Reims track and the various track graphical updates and I'm dropping to 26-28 FPS in places. Anyone else having this issue? Guess I'll just have to run with a more basic version. My PC is pretty powerful so would have thought it would cope.... I'm having to run direct x V2 as I cant get open GL V2 running well. AMD Ryzen 5900x CPU Powercolor Red Devil 6900xt GPU 32GB DDR4 @ 3600Mhz (C16) Happy New Year all ! Bully. |

Hi Bully, welcome back! Your PC is 25 thousand times more powerful than mine so you should have no issues with GPL. The servers are running at 60FPS, do you have that patch installed? Most of us here find OGL V2 works well but I see that you have an AMD gfx card. I'm no expert so head over here and search for advice... http://gplaltern.gplracer.eu/There should be answers on there. The alternative is to wait for Cookie to turn up and he's bound to have the answer. |

Hello Bully, welcome  First thing I ask if your CPU and GPU are idling when running GPL? Windoze does not recognize gplxx.exe as a 3D program! Get the openhardwaremonitor.org, run gpl and let the plot monitor a graph and look at the clocks. GPL needs high clocks but has little load!Set win to high performance - makes CPU go faster Get an older but WHQL driver from AMD that runs an openGL compatible with gpl - look in the http://gplaltern.gplracer.eu/forumdisplay.php?fid=13 for the solutions others found for the AMD GPU driver  PS found this: http://gplaltern.gplracer.eu/showthread.php?tid=755 |
