Every car gives you full mirrors,

set the correct FOV and then sit in car and use (gplshift) ctrl+ arrow keys to set your POV

The FOV has nothing to do with "seeing the mirrors" - this is the POV!

Here the FOV calculator
https://andyf.me/fovcalc.html

And a more deep explanation

HELP NEEDED - MODS

The weather has turned ridiculously windy here in Essex in the past couple of hours and I've already has a couple of short power-cuts. I would hate for this to cut everyone's race short tonight.

Is there another MOD wiling to fire up their server for this event? I can't rely on our power supply today. Sorry.

Thanks in advance.

Pete - we've had some wind,  but only enough to blow bins over / nothing as bad as your neck of the woods.
BBC reackons your wind problem should reduce drastically by 9PM.

I can set UKGPL11 running for some testing in case it's required.

Cheers,
Dave.

Sorry and thank you. UKGPL07 is up in the attic along with my GPL rig. It's been running all day but the power went off for a minute or two about 25 mins ago. I just don't trust it to stay up in this weather. If Will and I disappear without notice later on, you know what's happened.

Thanks for the other server(s).

UKGPL11 up for testing & can see a couple of sessions.

Pete - similarly, I see UKGPL07 online & currently unable to connect due to timeout (can see the remaining time is reducing in iGOR).
Looks as though the max latency may be currently set at 250ms ?

I've just tested UKGPL11 and it was running fine so I assume we will use it and I will be on standby with UKGPL04 just in case.

Sorry if Bully and Matt are having Frame Rate issues at Reims.

My racing rig is:
CPU: Intel i7-2600K CPU @ 3.4 GHz  (circa 2012 so getting on a bit and not Windows 11 compliant)
GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 6GB

So not exactly state of the art but I can run the 66 mod at Reims with a resolution of 3840 x 2160, all the GPL graphics options at max and the frame rate is 59-60 fps at all times on a solo lap. I also tested it with a full grid of AI and it was still 59-60 even at the start.

So I would have thought you should be able to get a decent FPS with the hardware you have. I've tried to write down everything I know about the GPU settings in the New Driver's Topic. If you are still having trouble, have another read through the "GPL Hints and Tips" and "Nvidia Profiler" pdfs under para 1(c). If after that you are still having trouble, I may missed something and I need to work out what it is.

It's probably too late now to sort it, but when I try to connect to 11, it just sends me back to igor.

Thanks Phil

I can run full graphic options, and it doesn't make much difference
The CPUs run flat out, but that's not unusual.

From here with 1920x1200 without any anti-aliasing everything in the distance is jaggie
and the track edges are not easy to see when you don't know the track that well
I won't be racing from here much, back at my place with 3440x1440 it's much better
