Moderator's Report

A.Summers:

L1 - 5pt penalty for extremely dangerous start. You were incredibly lucky to not take anyone with you as you spun off, take caution in future.

L4 - Spin and rejoins and takes out p6/p7. If you go onto the grass, in future release the throttle and gently drift back onto the track - do not simply accelerate hard as if it were asphalt.

L23 - You spear K.Tang off who was in 6th at the time. This sort of driving is not tolerated.

  • Anthony Summers — Multiple incidents — 10.0 championship point(s) — 1 race ban (suspended)

M.Smith:

L11 - Passing Mike Cooper into t1. Always hold your line when being passed/performing a pass, otherwise you end up with incidents like this. Waiting for M.Cooper = no pts penalty.

Moderator's Report

Lap 1

Kai Man Tang moves across to the right at the start, has to back off as the car he is following does the same, and the concertina effect results in a pile up behind. I've looked at this many times and its hard to blame any one driver. Several drivers could have helped a lot tho by either not changing lanes (Kai) or leaving more room to the car in front. In the end it was the very late braking of cars in front that caught out those behind, so if they had braked earlier and harder the cars behiond them would have got the message earlier too.

Lap 9

C Macdonald tries a move down the inside at the loop, leaves it too late and A Summers is knocked off the track as he turns in. A Summers should have known he was there tho and left a bit more room.

Lap 21

P Thornton rear ends J Ball into the loop. He does a stop go and so no penalty is required.

Lap 22

D Clarke rear ends B Allen at the loop. Leaves his braking too late for lapping a slower car.

  • Dave Clarke — Rear ending B Allen — 3.0 championship point(s)

Lap 22

A Walker rear ends Mick Smith at Big Bend. Mick slows more than expected, but Alan could have braked harder but just misjudged the situation. Since he hadn't spent any time following Mick this deserves a penalty.

  • Alan Walker — Rear ending Mick Smith — 1.0 championship point(s)

Lap 24

A Walker rear ends A Short as they exit the Loop. There was no need to try a pass so early as Andy had not decided on his line exiting the corner.

  • Alan Walker — Rear ending A Short — 1.0 championship point(s)

Moderator's Report

Lap 1 T1 - J. Ball hits B. Allen

Six of one - half a dozen of the other here. B. Allen overtakes round the outside of turn one (always dangerous) and J. Ball doesn't give him enough room under braking into the chicane.

Lap 1 - Hairpin - 1 place penalty to C McDonald

Quite simply, CM braked too late on cold tyres and rear ended A. Walker. When following cars on the first lap you have to brake early. CM took his normal hot tyre braking point. You simply can't do that first lap.

Lap 2 - Hairpin - Warning to A. Walker.

On the surface this is identical to the previous lap but reversed. In reality it's quite different. AW doesn't brake too early, he braked early enough, he just made a mistake and locked up. For that reason I've called it a warning.

Lap 10 - Hairpin (again) - Warning to Belgar

What is it about this hairpin? ;o)

For no apparent reason Belgar stopped his car at the entrance to the hairpin. The following cars were naturally surprised and piled into him.

Lap 12 - Bloody Hairpin - 1 Place penalty to D. Clarke.

Again a similar incident to the previous one but this time DC stops right on the line at the entrance to the hairpin. This forces the cars following behind to pass him on the inside. Anyone not using the steering hack will not be able to get round the hairpin taking that route.

If you ever need to stop on the circuit for any reason, get off the line.

  • Dave Clarke — Stopping at the hairpin — 1.0 championship point(s)

lap 19 - Hairpin (surprise, surprise)- Warning to K. Tang

KT moves over for J. Boughton to lap him. Unfortunately he doesn't slow down to drop in behind but runs alongside him into the corner giving JB nowhere to go.

Lap 20 - The Esses, Hooray! - 1 Place penalty to K. Tang

K. Tang goes to overtake J. Boughton at the end of the Esses but simply drives into his inside, taking him out.

  • Kai Man Tang — Contact with J Boughton — 5.0 championship point(s)

Moderator's Report

J. Boughton, start: took out C.Macdonald sideways. Close grids didn?t help, nor did the warp, but go easy into the first lap. CAUTION.

M.Perfect

L1T1 rear ended B.Allen triggering mayhem. 5PT PENALTY. Needless crash which caused a lot of other drivers to lose out.

L2T1 rear ended R.Wright. Almost identical incident, 5PT PENALTY. First incident appeared warp-free, second may have been warp-assisted.

Rest of replay up to disco features serious amount of warping.
