Exciting stuff! Smiley

My first car was also a (L)imp, which once blew its head gasket in Holland,
in Febuary.  So I bought a Kawasaki 750 2 stroke.  Later learned how a couple
of F1 drivers also owned them, just for laughs on their days off.  In my
case, I managed to part ways with a kneecap, which may be why I never became an F1 driver, in the real world. :'(

And for some time thereafter, I had to perambulate around with 2 limps . . .
"grumble, grumble!"   Roll Eyes

For team identification purposes I suggest:
Mods - green crash helmets
Rockers - black helmets.
In lieu of a team talk I suggest the Rockers find a suitable album & play it full blast 30 minutes before the start ... If you get bored at work tomorrow post recommended listening hear - I'll start with Bat Out of Hell

Are you allocating chassis before the race Bill?  I assume each team takes a mixture (like the Santa race and interleagues)?

Hi Phil

I found on first post the comment

"It's a fun race so any chassis BUT running under Pro re scoring."

so assume no chassis allocation

Peter

You're right I need some better glasses I must have read that announcement 10 times and didn't spot that LOL oops

Anyway I think I'll take a BT11 instead of my usual Fezzer.  If Bernie beats me (quite likely) I need an excuse.

And the award for the most stupid move goes to:

me!!!!

For moving across Tim completely forgetting that his car was on the inside of the corner. The vaulting and somersaulting was one a gymnast would have been given top marks for. Landing and execution weren't quite up to par though, upside down up a bank!

Everyone knows that million-to-one chances happen 9 times out of 10. Why the hell do I keep crashing then?!

Apologies team - lapse in concentration lap 12 lost a wheel on the approach to Moss. Race over before 60% distance.

Engine exploded on lap 20 whilst in 12th place.  But I think that should still get 8 points for the Rockers.

I think that was the 'Irony' award

You told ME not to hit you at the start of practice  Tongue

Well, after recovering from jethro's suicide move I worked my way back up the field.
Then crashed out due to missing a gear...

Then I worked my way back up the field, only to crash out again due to missing a gear....

I think you get my drift  Roll Eyes

OK the results are in.
It looks like those Rockers can leave Brighton beach with their tails between their legs, MODS RULE  Hit with a wet fish

13 finishers plus two extra who count. The mods took King Hero, a reserve, as the Rockers had 9 v 8 in the draw. Wouldn't have swung it the Rockers way (24 points).
Scores on the superior Lambrettas are;
Mods : 148 - Rockers 96

Well done those men in parkas

Following a request you can get the replay in the usual place http://www.jamesonline.net/ukgpl/2010.02.16_modsnrockers/

The most stupid move goes to me, believe me.
After have joined the server I wasn't sure that a GTR2 practice server had been shutdown so I left the server to check the T7 server and shutdown GTR2, only to find out that someone had taken my place when I resumed the focus on Igor.
Well, next one.

I had a splendid race all in all .even at top for a couple of laps before I had to surrender to Hristo who was all over me.No spins exept on adrenalin filled last lap:
I had a touch with Evil last lap on startstraight and we both spun.I will take most of the blame since I gave him extremely little room to move in and I thought he was a tad behind me so he could see me go in the middle.also thought I left him more space than the horrible replay showed. well well  one inch futher apart and we wouldn t have touched and we both wanted 2 nd so badly. Smiley. Gz H for the win and the faboulus catchup Evil.
happy with my podiumfinish Smiley
