They mainly have a chance to shunt you up the gearbox at mid corner or whilst you are attempting to brake.

They mainly have a chance to shunt you up the gearbox at mid corner or whilst you are attempting to brake. Only in practice, in the race you'll never be ahead anyway!! Mind last time I said that I got involved in someone elses accident on lap 1 at Monaco and ended up virtually dead last with all the lumbering 3.0 litres back in front of me!

Well that was annoying.
Got in late, and only had time for a single qually lap. This put me on the back row of the grid, and a half spin on lap 2 saw Syd pull out a decent gap. But no matter, I reeled him over the next five laps as I found my rhythm, and improved on my qually time by almost 2 seconds. Then just as i was on his gearbox my PC locked solid. Very annoying indeed, as I haven't seen a lock up in GPL in ages. I just hope the car didn't carry on at Syd's end and punt him off.
Ah well, that's life I guess. Looking forward to Div 1 Monaco now... hopefully I can make it.
cheers ak

Well I was totally outclassed there as expected. After a couple of laps I was in last place and trailing Bernie by a country mile but I pressed on. I was monitoring the leaders on Prib and they were all pretty close together. When the leaders were within 10 seconds of lapping me I decided to pull in and call it a day rather than risk causing a pile up. Sorry about that Bernie, you had a pretty lonely race, I just wasn't up to a repeat of our Monaco battle . Stayed on the server and watched the race. Superb driving from Paul up front with some determined driving from Lorenzo in second. Lorenzo's attempt on the outside at Paddock Hill bend was very brave indeed! The only place Lorenzo seemed to be gaining a lot of ground was through Clearways, the rest of the lap Paul seemed to have the edge. Great racing. Pity about your spin at Dingle Dell corner Evil, you had Kruger under pressure until then

Thanks to all, especially Lorenzo for a nice clean race.
After starting 5th in the baby Ferrari I was not expecting too much, but after a couple of guys went off and I made some good passes, I found myself in 2nd chasing Lorenzo's Macca. We were evenly matched on pace and had some close racing which I really enjoyed. I could see I was faster at Surtees but by the end of the lap we were even again. This went on for a few laps with some good side by side action. We even managed side by side through Paddock. I made my move after Lorenzo had a bad exit from Bottom Bend which gave me a run into Surtees. Although I passed into Surtees, Lorenzo nosed in front as we went into Hawthorns. I kept the inside and we were again side by side into Westfield where I managed to exit in the lead. Lorenzo would not give up easily so the close racing continued for a few more laps. But then Lorenzo had a moment at Paddock which gave me a 3 second breathing space. With only 5 or 6 laps left I managed to stay in front and took the chequer.
Congrats to all finishers.

I was late on the grid "again" and only the default set up and a few laps to acclimatise . Wondered where you went to Phil ,I enjoyed the "lonesome traveler" act for a while but then it felt like I was doing a Test session instead of racing .
Not sure if I really deserve the 2.7 Brabby even though its a joy to drive because its practically flat everywhere , I just dont see how I can be anything but a back marker in this series , not much fun my being a mobile chicane :0(

Yes, I have noticed you Bernie, and I'm thinking of moving you up, to a better car.

Started the race from pole (surprisingly) and made a good getaway with Lorenzo making pressure instantly. Some laps into the race, Lorenzo gets a tow at the S/F straight and goes for the inside of Turn 1. I was aware he's there so I keep it to the outside but just went too much and clipped the grass and spun. Luckily, I was reinstated to the track in the proper direction and had some speed to continue with but lost four places at least. I caught up with Mike and Evil who were battling each other. At some point, they went off so I was through, I don't remember overtaking them.
I was now right behind Paul and Lorenzo who were having some stellar battling and I had a front row seat. I was close but not close enough to meddle. Soon enough, they started pulling away and I had resurgent Evil to think about. Evil has his car set up differently and he was too fast in the third sector and always made substantial gains there. I could pull away in first two sectors only for him to regain that in third. He was making loads of pressure on me and I had to keep my eyes on the mirrors which lead to tons of little mistakes.
At one point, Evil spun in order to avoid hitting me (I appreciated that) and I heard later he got onto Ken.
I can't be unhappy about third as in all likelihood, even without the early spin, I wouldn't have been able to keep Lorenzo and Paul behind.
Tremendously fun race.
Grats Paul and Lorenzo.

I'm happy about my 2nd place yesterday, i did my best but i couldn't win.... I had a great and fair fight with Paul , he was very fast during the race and the only place where i was able to reduce the gap was in the finish/start straight..... Grats to Paul and Kruger
