The Historic Trophy division is intended to provide a competitive championship for all drivers in the league using the fantastic 66 mod. This inaugural year will celebrate the 1966 Grand Prix season by using the same tracks but over 10 points scoring rounds (rather than the 9 plus 4).
The moderator will assign drivers to the team at the start of the season based on their ability. The fastest drivers will be allocated the slower cars. Drivers will have to remain in that chassis for the rest of the season, they will only be allowed to swap teams in exceptional circumstances and only with the approval of the moderator. Reserve drivers will also be assigned to a team. If a reserve driver is allocated a grid slot they will use their allocated chassis, not the one used by the driver who dropped out.
Moderator: Syd Drake Race Length: Int-Long
Overview:
The intermediate damage model will be used. Unlimited Shift-R is allowed in the race. No Shift-Rs are allowed in practice unless authorized by the moderator. No-fault Shift-Rs will not attract a Stop & Go penalty. All other Shift-Rs must be followed by a Stop & Go or a penalty will be applied to the results after the race (see the Sporting Rules for details). A Shift-R for tyres/fuel is not allowed. |
