UKGPL Season 39
Chief Moderator: Phil Thornton

This season we will again run six championships over three race nights.  The season will be slightly shorter than usual with eight rounds in each championship. In order to simplify the rules with regards to resets, all Sunday races will be run under "PRO" damage rules. On Tuesdays and Fridays the races will be run under "Intermediate" damage rules. So no resets on Sundays but on Tuesdays, drivers will be allowed an unlimited number of shift-Rs with no need to make a stop-and-go in the pit lane and on Fridays, drivers will be allowed a single shift-R with no need to make a stop-and-go in the pit lane.

The "blue riband" championship will feature the 1967 F1 cars in association with our friends at GPL Brazil. We used the GPL Brazil chassis bonus system last season, so this season we will be using the UKGPL token system. The net result is the same, drivers are encouraged to use a variety of cars throughout the season. There should be enough entrants to warrant two servers each running a 50 minute race. The drivers will be seeded post registration so that the faster drivers will be allocated to the "Works" server and the regular drivers will be allocated to the "Privateers" server. Both the "Works" and "Privateers" servers will be run in "PRO" damage mode.

The 1955 Grand Prix cars are back on the track, most drivers will have competed in several seasons with the 55 mod so the lack of effective brakes should come as no surprise. Consequently, the races will be run under "PRO" rules. The token system will be used again this season. The faster drivers will be assigned to the "Works" category with the remaining drivers racing in the "Privateer" category.

The new 1968 F1 Early mod will feature in a full championship. The cars will be separated into groups and each round will be a spec race where drivers are allowed to select a car from a specific group. The races will be run under "Intermediate" damage rules.

The 1967 F2 cars make a return. Drivers will be allocated a number of tokens to spend on a chassis, the faster cars will cost more tokens. The races will be run under "Intermediate" damage rules.

The closed wheel series will feature the Can-Am 71 mod.  The cars will be sorted into 5 groups. Drivers of all abilities will be able to enter the championship with the faster drivers assigned to the "Professionals" category and the remaining drivers racing in either the "Intermediate" or "Privateer" category. The races will be run under "Intermediate" damage rules. Drivers from each category will be able to select cars from specific groups.

Finally we will run a series for the 1969x F1 cars.

There will be no moderation for the Can-Am 71 and 1969x F1 series however it is expected that the entrants will uphold the high standards of driving and etiquette normally seen here at UKGPL.

As ever, drivers are being asked to read the rules, dates and track selection for each division and enter the divisions, they prefer.  The objective here is to ensure the drivers are happy with the rules, dates and track selection of their chosen division(s) before committing to the season.  The moderators reserve the right to adjust the driver allocation as necessary should there be sufficient entries to justify more than one grid.

Drivers will not be restricted to entering a single division.  Drivers can enter as many divisions as they like.
