PLEASE READ ALL OF THE INFORMATION BELOW AND BE SURE THAT YOU UNDERSTAND IT.

THESE RACES WILL INVOLVE A DIFFERENT START PROCEDURE FOR THE PRO DRIVERS

ALL RACES WILL RUN THE PAPYRUS TRACKS IN REVERSE DIRECTION, BE SURE THAT YOU HAVE DOWNLOADED THE CORRECT TRACK FILES.
Refer to the REGISTRATION page for the car groups.

PRO drivers may only use Group 1.
Am drivers may choose any group.

Each group contains a 65 car, a 66 car and a 67 car. Once you have selected your group these are the 3 cars that you must use.

For this years Joe Shaw Trophy races, as always, we have tried to introduce something just a little bit different, with the aim to challenge the PRO drivers and also give the Am drivers a chance of some champagne.
.
There will be 3 races this year. On the first evening, 16th April, we hold 2 sprint races
Race 1
Aznom ( Monza reverse direction) 12 laps in the 65 cars
Race 2
Revlis ( Silverstone reverse direction) 12 laps in the 66 cars

Race 3
Troovdnaz ( Zandvoort reverse direction)  will be on 18th April, and will be a longer race, 27 laps, in the 67 cars

For this race we are using the 66 F1 cars.

Race list = iGOR
Server = UKGPL04_60fps
IP address = 146.200.244.218:32766
Password = see above
GPL Mod = 66
Damage model = Intermediate
60fps Patch = 60fpsV2newmod
Track download = link
Track directory = revlis - PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS THE ORIGINAL PAPYRUS TRACK IN REVERSE
Qualifying starts = 21:35 UK time - 20 minutes
Race starts = ~ 22:00 UK time
Race length = 12 laps
Replay= here
PLEASE READ THESE RULES CAREFULLY AND ASK IF YOU ARE NOT SURE.

Qualifying will start at 9:40 pm for 20 mins

Everyone has unlimited S/Rs, with no requirement for any SnG.[/quote]

Am drivers will start from the grid in the normal fashion. If you are an AM driver ignore the instructions below.

IMPORTANT!!!! FOR PRO DRIVERS ONLY.

Pro drivers will start from the modified pit lane position which is approximately half a lap behind the normal grid. If you follow these steps it is not as complicated as it sounds.

1) When qualifying is complete and GPL shows "start sequence beginning" DO NOT join the grid.
2) Pro drivers will see the normal GREEN  button at the bottom right of the screen, DO NOT click
3) Pro drivers will see the race countdown start and the GREEN button will disappear just before the AM drivers start the race.
4) After approx 10 seconds the GREEN button will re-appear.
5) Pro drivers should be ready for this and clicking on the GREEN button will place them on the track in the modified pit lane position
6) soon as your car is visible Pro drivers may begin to race, be aware that you should move LEFT immediately to avoid other cars still joining along the pitlane.
7) All of the PRO drivers should be up to speed before the Am drivers arrive at the new Pitlane.

Hi, fellas!

I was on the server this morning to check how the start procedure would go for our JSMT races at Silverstone(reversed)in the GP66 cars.

For Silverstone(reversed), you are placed on the track infield side of the track along the Hangar Straight between Stowe and Chapel.  For a test of the race start, I waited til the green button vanished as time for making the grid expired and I waited for the Group2 and Group3 drivers to be flagged away.  After some seconds, the green button was again available and I was able to start as noted along the infield side of the track just before Chapel.  Starters from this location are well advised to immediately pull to the right to make allowances for others joining from the same starting arrangement.  Should be fun!  Smiley

Another great race for me. I got a good start again but I touched the grass on the exit at Copse (didn't do that in practice) and I spun out into the wall. Thankfully no damage was done and although I lost 4 places I didn't loose touch with the tow so I got back on terms. The cars ahead gradually fell by the wayside and I found myself leading with Doni all over my gearbox. I made an unforced error at Chapel and dropped back to third behind Evil. Doni held on for a deserved win and I managed to pip Evil for P2 on the last lap.  RIP Joe.

HA!  Never would have bet on that result.  A fluke win thanks to everyone falling off the road at some point and leaving me clear to stroke it on in.  I was dead last early on.  Just for you, Joe.

Not sure that I can make the Tuesday run at Troovdnaz.  Best of Luck, chaps!  Smiley

Huge congratulations to Doni who just does not get enough of the results that he deserves. Yet another frantic race that might have given the AM's some champagne.
Another early mistake dropped me back to a distant last place, but slowly I reeled tha pack in and benefitted from others misfortunes in a car that was determined to throw me off the tarmac at every change of direction!!
Somehow, and I am still not quite sure how, I was running in 2nd place with about 3 laps to go. My Blue Moose teammate was ahead and running smoothly in the lead, but Phil was "on the case" and hassling me to get back at him. I dare not push any harder in my suicide machine, so I decided to try and run shotgun for Doni and if possible defend my second spot.
Inevitably the car ( and not Phil's pressure) scuppered my chances when it snapped into over/under steer on the final lap and I was running on the grass which is never the fastest surface  Wink. Fortunately I had enough gap behind to survive in 3rd spot.

I would like to think that Joe "Beefpie" Shaw would have enjoyed these races and the finale at Troodnaz in the 67's should be hotly contested  shifty
