Moderator's Report

Majestic performances from Hristo and Lorenzo in their BRMs secured the top two steps on the podium. The final podium place was taken by Brendan who edged out Clive Gardner in the closing stages.

Despite being a man down, the White Team scored enough points to claim second place with the win going to the Gold Team.

Final Points Standings:
Gold Team - 81 Points
White Team - 67 Points
Blue Team - 54 Points
Red Team - 23 Points

Server replay time: 0h01m03s

Brendan Wright, Kruger Enge and Ken Murray - Lap 1 Turn 1.
Brendan is following Kruger on the exit of Tarzanbocht and warp contact is made. This throws Kruger sideways into Ken Murray and complete mayhem ensues. Practically the entire field is affected and several drivers have to take a shift R.
The initial contact was warp related and no blame can be apportioned to Brendan. All drivers who needed them are allowed a no-fault shift-R.

  • Racing incident

Server replay time: 0h24m57s

Steven Foster and Derek Howe - Lap 16 Turn 14.
Derek was slowing to go into the pits but lifted earlier than usual. This sudden drop in speed caught Steven out and he simply ran into the back of Derek at Huzaren Vlak. Derek showed a pit in signal and Steven should have seen it and realized Derek would be slowing.
Derek is entitled to a no-fault shift-R.

Server replay time: 0h28m11s

Syd Drake and Hristo Itchov - Lap 20 Turn 1.
Syd runs wide in Tarzanbocht and ends up high on the grassy bank. He then rejoins straight onto the racing line without getting up to speed first. His rejoin impedes the leader who is about to lap him and contact is made but fortunately no damage is done.

  • Syd Drakepenalty — Bad Rejoin — 3 places lost

Server replay time: 0h28m21s

Robert Burton - Lap 19 Pit Lane.
Rob's pit stop is 1 second short.

Server replay time: 0h34m34s

Kruger Enge and Robert Burton - Lap 23 Turn 1.
Kruger tries to go around the outside and Burt keeps to the inside and tries to hold him off. Both drivers battle for position and contact is made. Contested side-by-side.

  • Racing incident

Hi All,
I'm  just going to put up a server 4 the upcoming Roc.

Server will be in iGOR, not sure if you will be doing it from there on the night?

Server name UKGPL__3

Have fun!

Hi,
I have been having some problems getting the server to launch correctly in iGOR. I can launch a 66 mod server and that works as it should do. As soon as I try to launch a server using anything other than 66 mod I get some very strange problems!
e.g. When I launch the server remotely for 67's it says all went well. When I check in iGOR the server seems to just launch another track like kyalami it seems to like. Also it does not use the settings I entered remotely. I set the server to launch an int short Zandvoort with 60mins practice. What I get when the server is launched is Kyalami novice 15mins practice!!!!! WTF!

It seems to do this with everything except 66mod! that works fine...

Another thing that seems to happen is the server will not launch properly. the server will sit there on the track selection screen waiting for you to select a track. you can only get it going if you log in with the Boss Password and you hit the green box in the bottom right to get it going. If you connect with no boss password then there is no green box to click and it will just sit there on the track selection screen. Very strange, has anyone else had any problems like this with iGOR?

Cheers,
         Bully

Ok then  Kruger Syd and Phil, which cars are you taking to ensure our total dominance of this event. On the basis that you have to carry a lame duck like me in the team  Roll Eyes

Given the pitstop allocations, this race result should be in the balance right up to the wire!!!  but then I guess that is the intention  Grin

Considering the pitstop lengths I'll have to take the cooper.

LoL, I think I'm with Cooper as well. I'd take a Brabham but I don't think I have so much time to wander about in the pitlane Smiley

The pit stop times have been calculated using the usual formula so in effect the Clubmans guys will be doing the same stops the Div 1 guys did at Zandvoort (Round 3 in D1 Season 14).  Don't forget the ROC is a 50 min race so the pit stops look longer than they usually do.

The faster guys have an extra time penalty, (a second a lap in fact) but even with that it is unlikely a Clubmans driver will be able to beat the likes of JB and Hristo.   The main thing to remember is that it's a team race so I've tried to create a balanced set of teams (couldn't resist a mods team though Shocked).

Taking the Cooper might not be the best option, the pit stop times are no different to a normal D1 race so take a look at the results.  You'll see the Coopers didn't dominate the podium  Smiley.

Cheers

Phil

Updated the teams, I missed off Will Tway in the original allocation.  Sorry Will.  I've slotted Will into the Gold team, moved Amir over to the White team and moved Clive out to a wildcard slot since he is doubtful for the race.  Still no confirmation from John Bradbury, Hristo or Amir so may need to shuffle the teams about a bit more if they don't turn up.  Any volunteers for wildcard places?

I'm even tempted by the BRM, but might do some practice to see what is most comfortable. There is a World Cup round coming up at Zandy so might experiment a little and see if I can get something to lap in the 1:24's on race fuel.  Well, I can dream can't I???

That would not in any way be a slanted view from a "Cooperman" would it??? Roll Eyes
