Moderator's Report

Majestic performances from Hristo and Lorenzo in their BRMs secured the top two steps on the podium. The final podium place was taken by Brendan who edged out Clive Gardner in the closing stages.

Despite being a man down, the White Team scored enough points to claim second place with the win going to the Gold Team.

Final Points Standings:
Gold Team - 81 Points
White Team - 67 Points
Blue Team - 54 Points
Red Team - 23 Points

Server replay time: 0h01m03s

Brendan Wright, Kruger Enge and Ken Murray - Lap 1 Turn 1.
Brendan is following Kruger on the exit of Tarzanbocht and warp contact is made. This throws Kruger sideways into Ken Murray and complete mayhem ensues. Practically the entire field is affected and several drivers have to take a shift R.
The initial contact was warp related and no blame can be apportioned to Brendan. All drivers who needed them are allowed a no-fault shift-R.

  • Racing incident

Server replay time: 0h24m57s

Steven Foster and Derek Howe - Lap 16 Turn 14.
Derek was slowing to go into the pits but lifted earlier than usual. This sudden drop in speed caught Steven out and he simply ran into the back of Derek at Huzaren Vlak. Derek showed a pit in signal and Steven should have seen it and realized Derek would be slowing.
Derek is entitled to a no-fault shift-R.

Server replay time: 0h28m11s

Syd Drake and Hristo Itchov - Lap 20 Turn 1.
Syd runs wide in Tarzanbocht and ends up high on the grassy bank. He then rejoins straight onto the racing line without getting up to speed first. His rejoin impedes the leader who is about to lap him and contact is made but fortunately no damage is done.

  • Syd Drakepenalty — Bad Rejoin — 3 places lost

Server replay time: 0h28m21s

Robert Burton - Lap 19 Pit Lane.
Rob's pit stop is 1 second short.

Server replay time: 0h34m34s

Kruger Enge and Robert Burton - Lap 23 Turn 1.
Kruger tries to go around the outside and Burt keeps to the inside and tries to hold him off. Both drivers battle for position and contact is made. Contested side-by-side.

  • Racing incident

Any volunteers for wildcard places?

I'll be a standby if you need a driver Phil.

Good point Steve, you was Div1 but if you taking over Amir do you take div2 pitstops?

Either way i take Clubmans pitstops which is even better  Grin

As you were a Div 1 driver you must take the Div 1 pit stop times.  I know it is a bit harsh because you are not as fast as some of the other Div 1 drivers but it is a team race.  Hopefully I've made a good enough job of the team selection and you'll be able to score valuable points for your team  Wink

Looks like we'll be a driver short for tonight's ROC.  Anybody fancy a drive?  If so post a reply here  Smiley

John Bradbury can't make it so put Clive Loynes in the Red team.  Clive will try and race but his attendance is not guaranteed.  Could do with a wildcard as backup if anybody is interested!

Good race, right up until I drove into Derek Howe, and quit in self-disgust. Very sorry Derek - that was awful driving.

No problem Steve - it didn't worry me, you needn't have quit. I was pitting, and lifted a bit early (because I'm not used to pitting with the BRM) which probably caught you out.

I know Ken hates me but there was nothing I could do at T1 Sad Being aware of the warp, I was being conservative into T1 and I was sticking to the appex knowing that if I accelerated, I'd probably take out Ken on my side, or Lorenzo and Hristo ahead.

Unfortunatelly, Brendan tripped up on my warp and set of the chain reaction - not Brendan's fault by all means. Ken was merely a co-lateral damage. I'm sorry Ken if you retired just because of that. I was thinking to do the same but instead, went on and had a really fun race, doing two stops early and finding my self back to fifth. I had some great battles on the way there though...

Great race guys im suprised i finished 6th let along the race, my best pro race ever this, Great battles halfway through the race with guys same speed as me ie Ian,Steve,Phil. My only complaint of race has to be Kruger and his warpy car all race!. 35 laps jezz, how in earth did i finish race and come 6th is really beyond me lol. Hopefully this is a good sign that i can do well in Cooper this season, and have again upped my stakes to do well with the best. 0 reset, 0 engine blows, and 35 laps of daunting racing.
