Hmm...

Don't think that I am much of a threat here.  Can't do more than a handful of laps without a CTD.  Usually near the pits and with another car close behind.

That's a bugger Clive. Just when we thought you had those problems sorted.

LOL

It had effin better be!  I've destroyed more Lotuses than Colin Chapman ever built in my attempts to come to terms with the place.

To be honest, most of my practice has been spent trying to stop the CTD problems.

I have reduced the graphics resolution and modified the player.ini on the detailbias value as advised by RobH and PaulS and since then I have actually seen two chequered flags!

I wonder if my 1GB of RAM is marginal?

Here's hoping for tonight.  (Difficult to drive with fingers crossed.)

I know it was due to engine, but a win is a win. And I earned it the hard way. My engine started smoking on the back straight on the very first lap. By the time I was done with my SnG I was back in 6th, way back behind the leaders. I don't know if there was some group off or what, but I caught back up to the front with in a few laps. My BRM engine got me through safely to first play, but the Lorenzo got stuck to the back of my car. We were pretty inseparable from that point on. Lorenzo c would stay in my tow, but he couldn't overtake. So I knew I had the race sewn up as long as I didn't make a mistake. But I still almost threw it away when I went wide at second chicane on lap 11, and even had to go around it on the outside to avoid crashing. Lorenzo went by, but I quickly caught him. I knew I could overtake him, even if he got by me under braking for the last turn, so I made sure I didn't outbrake myself again there. In the end it was pretty comfortable despite winning by just 0.16.
Congrats to Lorenzo and Ken for podium finishes.
I saw when Burt disconnected at the end, and even got on the track with only seconds remaing just to extend the practice session, but unfortunately you still couldn't make it back in time.

Thought we were running Pro Rules  Grin

No, just you were in a fast car! Smiley

Never ever thought I'd get a podium here in the 246 slug. I was chuffed with my 4th place qually position. I got a perfect tow lap using the two Clives. Clive L for the first half of the lap then Clive G for the second. Smiley

The start was a bit chaotic with the CTD'ing Clive L's car stationary on the grid and I was surprisingly second for half a lap. Then no sooner had Syd steamed away on the back straight that he pulled up in a puff of smoke (definitely should be Pro rules Smiley).

For the next few laps it was me and Clive G contesting the lead, then Lorenzo and Syd caught us and there were four of us together. Slowly Clive G dropped away and then I ever so slowly fell back with the little Ferrari just not able to stay in the tow. My only hope was the two leaders having some sort of incident but I wasn't that lucky! Still the champagne tasted sweet on the podium.
