UKGPL Season 16 - Historic Division - Race 1 - 66 mod - MosportAnd here we are, at the beginning of our second season with 66 cars. The chassis restrictions will be much looser this time around. First of all, only 3L or below 3L cars will be allowed, not all together. We had complaints from drivers about how different in handling these cars were, so we'll see how it goes when we separate them.
Second, cars will be divided into two groups. Top 4 in the championship standings have a free choice of cars from group I. If they want a car from group II, they will need to perform a 20 second pitstop, no matter which chassis from group II. The rest can choose any car. These cars are a lot closer in performance, which is the reason for just one length of time for a pitstop for all of them. But that should also mean that races won't turn into spec races. In any case, we will be monitoring how this formula pans out, for future seasons.
Since of course this is the first race of the season, there will be no restrictions, you can choose whatever car you want.
For future reference this is how below 3L cars are divided:
2L
Group I
T1F Eagle Climax
Lotus 33 Climax
Brabham BT11 2.5lt
Lotus 33 BRM
Group II
Ferrari 246
Brabham BT11 BRM
BRM P261
Brabham BT11 2.7lt
Now about moderation. This is the second season on SRou, and it's time to rely on SRou system for reporting incidents, You can only report incidents once the results have been imported, so I'll try to import results the same evening as the race, or at latest the next morning. Use the system. I will only guarantee that reported incidents will be moderated, and perhaps the first lap. I will not moderate any race at least until next tuesday from the race, so that is your deadline to submit an incident.
Good luck to all drivers.
