The Historic Trophy division is intended to provide a competitive championship for all drivers in the league using the fantastic 66 mod. This year we will celebrate the 50 years anniversary of the 1966 F1 season running the original tracks for that year. The traditional Historics Handicap system will be relaxed in order to get a wider range of cars on the grid. Races will still be designated as 3 litre OR 2 litre events but for 3 litre events drivers can take any car (3 litre or 2 litre). For 2 Litre events Pro/Works drivers must take a 2 litre car but the Amateur/Privateers drivers can take any car (including any 3 litre car).
There will be 5 races designated as 3 litre events and 5 races designated as 2 litre events. The final championship positions will be determined after each driver has discarded their worst two results.
The 3 litre and 2 litre cars are divided into three groups.
There will be no handicapping or chassis levelling other than limiting Pro/Works drivers to a 2 litre car for 2 litre events.
Note that we are running the 60fps patch also this season | 3 Litre Cars | | | 2 Litre Cars | |
