The Spec Race Challenge is intended to provide straightforward head to head racing without the complexity of chassis allocation and tokens. It means the faster drivers are not handicapped so it gives a true measure of driver performance on a level playing field. The final championship positions will be determined after each driver has discarded their worst 4 results (could be 2 complete rounds or 4 individual races).
The moderator will select 2 chassis for each round and there will be 2 short races for each round. Drivers must use both chassis. Any driver who uses the same chassis for the second race that he used for the first will be disqualified from the second race.
Moderators: Vlad Vosblod and Billy Nobrakes
Overview:
Number of races per round: 2 Race Length: Short
The intermediate damage model will be used. Unlimited Shift-R is allowed in the race. No Shift-Rs are allowed in practice unless authorized by the moderator. No-fault Shift-Rs will not attract a Stop & Go penalty. All other Shift-Rs must be followed by a Stop & Go or a penalty will be applied to the results after the race (see the Sporting Rules for details). A Shift-R for tyres/fuel is not allowed.
The 2.02 Release of the 65mod can be used. The 1.3 Release of the 67mod can be used.
