The Historic Trophy division is intended to provide a competitive championship for all drivers in the league using the fantastic 66 mod. Experience has shown that the significant differences in power and braking distances between the 3 litre and 2 litre cars mean that it is unusual to have exciting close racing between these 2 variants of the 1966 cars. Consequently the races will either be for 3 litre or 2 litre cars. There will be 5 races for 3 litre cars and 5 races for 2 litre cars. The final championship positions will be determined after each driver has discarded their worst two results.
The 3 litre and 2 litre cars will be divided into three groups. The first and second drivers in the division have a free choice of cars from Group I, or they can take the cars from Group II with a mandatory pit stop of 20 seconds or cars from Group III with a mandatory pit stop of 40 seconds. The third and fourth drivers in the division can have a free choice of cars from either Group I or II or they can choose a car from Group III with a mandatory pit stop of 20 seconds. All other drivers have a free choice.

Overview:
PRO rules means Shift-Rs are not allowed at any time and the damage model is realistic. The handicap format for this division is aimed at levelling driver ability by restricting faster drivers to the slower chassis. Nevertheless the fastest driver should win the championship.
