This season we will run four championships over two race nights. The season will be the standard length with ten rounds in each championship. In order to simplify the rules with regards to resets, most races will be run under "PRO" damage rules. Where "Intermediate" damage rules are used, drivers will be allowed an unlimited number of shift-Rs with no need to make a stop-and-go in the pit lane.
For each Championship, only the best 8 results will be taken into account.
The "blue riband" championship will feature the 1967 F1 cars in association with our friends at GPL Brazil. We will be using the UKGPL token system but the tracks have been chosen by GPL Brazil so the season has a South American feel. The drivers are encouraged to use a variety of cars throughout the season. There should be enough entrants to warrant two servers each running a 50 minute race. The drivers will be seeded post registration so that the faster drivers will be allocated to the "Works" server and the regular drivers will be allocated to the "Privateers" server. Both the "Works" and "Privateers" servers will be run in "PRO" damage mode.
The 1969 F1 (extra) cars make a return. A token system will be used with each car costing a specific number of tokens. Drivers will be awarded tokens for both starting the season and for each race they start. The races will be run under "PRO" damage rules.
There will be a single country series again but this time using British cars on British tracks. The championship will use the 1965 F1 cars so the allowable chassis are Lotus, Brabham, BRM and Cooper. A token system will be used with each car costing a specific number of tokens. Drivers will be awarded tokens for both starting the season and for each race they start. The races will be run under "Intermediate" damage rules.
The 1955 Grand Prix cars are back on the track, but this time in a Tuesday slot. The races will be run under "PRO" damage rules. The token system will be used again this season. Drivers will be awarded tokens for both starting the season and for each race they start. If there are sufficient numbers of entrants, the faster drivers will be assigned to the "Works" category with the remaining drivers racing in the "Privateer" category.
As ever, drivers are being asked to read the rules, dates and track selection for each division and enter the divisions, they prefer. The objective here is to ensure the drivers are happy with the rules, dates and track selection of their chosen division(s) before committing to the season. The moderators reserve the right to adjust the driver allocation as necessary should there be sufficient entries to justify more than one grid.
Drivers will not be restricted to entering a single division. Drivers can enter as many divisions as they like.
